I'm very hesitant to communicate with anyone on the site after reading about some of the scams and fake profiles others have experienced. I regret ever trusting them. OurTime is the perfect place to meet older people that are looking for companionship. It is a fast growing site for singles ages 50 and older. This is the perfect source to look for a long term partner that is more experienced in age. This website are for both men and women. The easy search function will find anyone in your area that matches the criteria you have set. You will be able to see their pictures, videos and audio before you decide to contact the target. The Sign-up process is a quick and painless process that is very user-friendly for the elderly. Although to use some features of the dating website, you will have to purchase a membership. The price is definitely affordable. I have contacted Ourtime customer service on several occasions about not accepting a Code from Groupon, but they have not responded. So, I put on my profile that I could not respond to email and thanked men for emailing me, Ourtime went into my profile and edited it by taking it off. So someone is could reach out to me. Thank you for saving me money and I am notifying Groupon about this scam. I wish I found this review site before I bothered paying money. It was a horrendous experience, the quality of matches was appaling, looked more like a crime file line up. Extremely limited matches, about the same people paraded every day, and very limited settings. What grossed me out the most was that members can choose to hide there photographs, but still have access to other members profiles and write messages. Getting pervy messages from anonymous people really is plain creepy. Most banks will honor this, especially if you have a printed copy, a screen shot, or records of the deceptive materials and details of your phone calls with OurTime. Deceptive tactics to charge your card are also used by Match. You can also ask your bank to block future charges. This site advertises 50+ singles. We have more class than this. I could see maybe 25 yr olds doing the flirt thing, but maybe I am selling them short. I certainly would never send such a ridiculous message. I dislike them when they are sent to me. I make it a point to view this section on a daily basis as randomly my preferences are changed and my emails that come to me are enormous. I dislike this site so immensely and my money is being held hostage until October. If Our Time has so many dissatisfied members, there NEEDS to be a refund of some sort. A handsome man, a beautiful woman — and bam! They are together after 10 minutes on the site. The members that are sent to me for a match? Those really cheapen the members. So I would NOT have been surprised by the pricing, as apparently many here, are. You need to read things, completely! Anyway, more importantly, it appears the people and profiles are largely fake and used to entice people. When it was posted, it indicated I had only 47 day to use the site instead of the six months they indicated. I contacted then and they indicated it was because the payment was by mail. I believe this is because they want to have access to your credit card and you never know they would probably update the price and would not advise you, just deduct it from your card. Not only that, but when ask for instructions, the information tells you to click this link, then click that link, but that link NEVER APPEARS. This is not a good site, I believe it is a bit of s scam. I wish I saw this site before giving ourtime. I assisted my mother in creating a profile, once her profile was complete we began to search for men in our region. Once we found someone who seemed interesting, she wrote a two sentence message, clicked send and was suddenly prompted to purchase a subscription. I immediately began searching for a phone number, I wanted a refund. I felt completely misled. After searching the site, I only found an option to send an e-mail which I did, but still have not received a reply. While waiting for an email response, and searching again for a phone number, I discovered that my credit card was saved for automatic billing. I quickly changed the setting, which led to a confirmation email that contained a phone number. How could there possibly be usage. He proceeded to tell me a message had been sent. The message I sent to their customer service address? Or perhaps the original two sentence message that prompted subscription was sent once they had my credit card payment, conveniently. I asked to speak to a supervisor, since I was getting zero help or support from guy 1. He tells me all supervisors are busy, but they could call me back. I said I could hold until they were available and he said he is not allowed to keep me on the line. I give my contact info and wait for a call back. I asked for a middle ground compromise. Cant do that either because it would be considered a refund if I only paid for one month. They must have good lawyers. Stick to plenty of fish or cupid, stay away from ourtime. I tried a membership on OurTime. I sent out several messages and flirts and received maybe three back to say that we would not be a match. That was a lot of effort spent on my part to get not much back in return. So I changed my profile to reflect that I was an elderly lesbian from Antarctica now living in Pakistan who experimented with LSD. A few minutes after faking my profile I was expelled from the site. At sign up you are given an opportunity to input your preferences and what type of person you would like to meet. Might as well put down you want to meet Princess Leah or The Lone Ranger or even Bozo the Clown. Because what you will be sent by OurTime is anybody else on the website. In order to see their data, I had to sign up. I know that most online dating sites expire older members quickly, so I never sign up for more than a month. I live in a major metropolitan area. One of the guys they keep sending me looks like a killer — covered with tattoos, piercings. He looks mean in his one photo. They have completely ignored my preference for Caucasian men with this guy and other photos they keep sending. I would NOT recommend this site to anyone. I will not renew. I Would not recommend Our Time either. I do not use my card on line so their link indicates that a payment can be mailed in which I did. After they received my money order. After a few days I saw at the bottom of the screen that in 45 days my account would have expired. I contacted them because I thought it was an error. They indicates that because the payment was mailed in it did not quality for the six months special deal. NO PLACE ON THE SITE DID IT INDICATE THAT AND I EVEN READ THE SMALL PRINT. I too told them to just cancel my account and give me a refund which they indicate they cannot do. I believe this site is a scam and will use your account just to take your money. All of this has combined to totally turn me off of OurTime. I saw the commercial for ourtime a few months back and thought that it was something that I would like. After I signed up, I have fun browsing through all the different profiles like it was a candy store. It made me feel special. And then after meeting a couple of very sweet ladies, I met Sandra for dinner and I felt so lucky to meet her. We had a lot of fun times together that it made me feel 10 years younger. I am happy that at my old age I have found love again. I signed up at ourtime because I was told that they would have plenty of older gentlemen around my age that are attractive, but how wrong they were. Most of the older men here that I met in person have bad manners and habits like smoking and drinking that I do not like nor care for. I already went through 2 husbands; I do not need another one that I am going to divorce. This place is just not for me. I meet woman that are around my age and similar experience that gives me positive replies. Like me, they all have children and grandchildren and just want another chance at romance and relationships. From what I can see, there are a lot of quality women that are members here. This is much better than other dating sites that ignores me for being older. I just turned 61 and am currently a paying member of ourtime. I first came on this site to find a partner after being alone for 10 years after my husband passed away. Back then, I went on a lot of dates with older gentlemen and it was nice to have company. But for whatever reason, I was just not interested in any of them. Right now, I am no longer trying to find someone to spend the rest of my life with. I am just using it to keep in touch with some of the friends that I made and enjoying the attempts of some men to try to court me. I use it more for just the social aspects of it now to keep me from being bored. I am satisfied though, I can keep myself from being alone by talking to others here. I like to consider myself to be a high quality 56 year old man. I have a stable job, make 6 figures and have a house. But the women on here like to disagree with me. I tried to talk to as much women as I can to get to know them. And a lot of them mock me for not being filthy rich? Wow these older ladies have high standards. Did they get divorce from their millionaire husband or something? Geez, I would think since they were older that they would have a more mature outlook on life and relationship. I just wanted to get it out there; other dating sites have better ladies. Nothing against the site, it was great. Easy to navigate, easy tools to use, easy to talk to women.
